Reflection Task 3

If I were a jury member of the committee for choosing the person of the year I would choose Ian Somerholder. Because  he is both a perfect actor and a lover of animals. I cannot deny that he is a handsome man at the same time. He donates for animals that are becoming extinct and ownerless animals. I appreciate his this quality because I am a lover of animals, too. I wish I had money to do the same thing. And he also won the award of The Sexiest Alive Man of The Year. He is acting in The Vampire Diaries that I watched all of its part . It is still continuing to be broadcasted on the Cnbc-e. He is acting on the role of Damon in this Tv series. He is acting a man who loves his brother’s girlfriend. His character is unimportant for Elena at first who is the main character of the series  but she loves him too later. And it causes to break bridges with his brother. He is said once that the character of the Damon that Ian’a acting is just the opposite of his own in one of his interviews because his character is bad but indeed his is good,I think.  I do not think that a person who loves animals can be a bad person. Because of these reasons he deserves to be the person of the year , in my opinion.

     

                                                  Reflection Task 2b

I choose this video because of its meaning. The name of the video is The Great 

Dictator. Charlie Chaplin is imitating The Hitler in this video but his words are 

just the opposite. And another interesting thing about this video is that he is speaking in the video. Because he is famous for his silent films. This is the only one has sound that I have ever watched because he said that ‘ If I talk the only one who knows English can understand me but if I do not talk everyone can understand me.’ He is talking about democracy, equality, freedom, rights of the workers and peace in the video. He always defended slaves of the dictators and I agree with him absolutely. I am defending the side of the humiliated people, too. He is saying in the video that ‘Gates of the heaven is not open just for a person, they are open for all of us’ and this sentence is clarifying my perspective about the life. He is trying to enhance  their narrow minds by these words. Everyone should have had the same rights but people are still fighting for nonsense things like richness, status and unnecessary titles. Life is too short to waste our times for these temporary things. No matter how much people fight for having these desired things to be superior in this world, we will be the same when we die. So while we still have time we should stop fighting and just enjoy the moment. J

                                         Reflection Task a2

I know a person who has a unique talent for music but he has not been

recognized yet unfortunately.  He both can play all types of guitar and drums

and also has a good voice. He learned playing all these instruments on his

own. Now, he gathered a few of his friends that one of them can play flute,

one of them can sing and one of them can playing organ and they established

a band that called Matruşka. They have a song that has a professional clip

 already an dı hope that they will continue to make more.  Actually he has not

taken a professional education but he can cover it up successfully. And I

believe that some day he will be a very famous singer.

Reflection Task 1a

                                        The Reflection Task a1

I came Middle East Technical University that university of my dreams for

Foreign Language Education a couple months ago. I was living in Aydın and at

first it was very difficult that living in a big city tome. But I got used to very

 quickly. Because METU is completely different from the rest of the Ankara. I

very liked the people’s respecting each other and there is no judgment here. I

have a little sister and brother and a dog. I love all of them very much. In

general I am person who loves animals more than people. But Hera , it is my

dog’s name, is more than just an animal. She is like a friend to me and I

absolutely believe that animals can understand and feel you. Hera is usually

active and playful but the times that I am sad, she comes and lies over me

motionlessly like trying say to me that do not be sad, it is not worth whatever

it is. And except this I like being busy with music. I tried playing a guitar 2

years ago but I could not. Actually the desire of playing a guitar is still exist

but I am not  sure that I can find a spare time for it. As to my future, I want to

be a professor in Adnan Menderes University in Aydın. And after I am retired

I want to turn around the world and see every one of the countries by a

caravan. This is the biggest dream of mine and I hope that it will be true some

day J

                                                       She is the Best !

She is such a wonderful person that I do not think that I can find someone like her once more time. She is always close to me whenever I need her. I do not have to say what ı want. She can understand by looking into my eyes. Even when we fight we never turn our backs to each other. Because we know that we cannot, we are a whole. We always keep our problems on second plan while we are dealing with each other’s problems.  She is neither beautiful nor clever but they don’t matter me at all, because I do not interested in her physical appearance. I only care about her heart. Her heart is so big and generous that it can accept me with my all mistakes. She does not try to change me, she loves me for who I am.  She can make me laugh even while I am crying. Do you wonder who she is? She is my best friend Yeşim. And I love her with my whole heart J

The human brain is responsible for many complex creations, but it can’t invent  (transitive)  the image of people. Dreams are a window into the subconscious. Even though most of the time, they’re completely random, disorganized, and we forget 90% of them within 10 minutes of waking up; many people have danwn  inspiration from their dreams.
